Organizational information

The participation of doctoral students in this day is almost mandatory, except for the 4th year and up.

  • The 1st year of the thesis (thus carrying out their 1st day of the LMA doctoral students) must make an oral presentation (with slides).
  • The 2nd, 3rd and up years have the choice of their presentation medium (poster or oral).
  • Participation is optional for the 4th year and up, but remains highly appreciated (in particular, posters are welcome).

  • Following the closing of registrations, the detailed programme (time of passage, duration of the presentation and questions) will be sent by e-mail and made available on this website.

  • Depending on the answers given at registration, the organisation reserves the right to redefine as best as possible the number of oral presentations in relation to the number of posters.

  • A laser pointer, grids and pliers (for posters) are already provided by the day's organizers. Obviously, the posters have to be printed by the PhD student. A specific printer is available inside the laboratory.

Detailed program of the oral presentations

This year, the time of passage are defined as follows :

  • 1st year : 6 min (5 min + 1min of questions)
  • 2nd year : 9 min (8 min + 1min of questions)
  • 3rd year : 12 min (11 min + 1min of questions)

This data is given inside the detailed program you can find in the lateral menu of this website.

Help with registration and document submission

The registration and the submit process of the presentation supports have to be made on this website.

Registration process

  •     The "SciencesConf" account requested for registration is used by many conferences in which PhD students may participate, as well as the open HAL archive. You may already have an account after registering for a conference, or for others after registering for the Doctoral School's Doctoral Day. Otherwise, creating an account is free and fast.

  •     If you are asked for an "affiliation" through the site, please note that this does not matter for Doctoral Day, but we invite you to use the LMA in the general case, which may be useful for a future conference.

Submitting an oral presentation or a poster

  •     Compulsorily submit a file in pdf format (including for posters),

  •     If a presentation requires sound or video/animation playback, please specify it in the commentary. The organisers will discuss with you individually how to proceed on the PhD students' day..
